"Because of the strict marital norms present in their community, desperate local women would seek solace in a mostly forgotten, but deeply feared spirit: one that, as for some comfort, shared their sex and consequently their plights."

"Once an elusive witch, this spirit would successfully remove the creature growing within the woman who was able to locate her shrine, and gift it to another soul that would have it without question. Whether this recipient would be another human, or an entity these women fear more than the witch itself, is mostly undiscussed by the community."
